Our purposes of processing your personal data:

In case you wish to attend the Virtual Winter School the provision of your personal data, as collected on the on-line form, is necessary for us to be able to organize the event.

More specifically, we process the personal data we collect from you for the following purposes:

• Designing the event programme.
• Organising and communicating practical matters related to the event, mainly meeting links.
• Planning and preparation of event workshops.

Legal basis for our processing of your personal data:

The collection and processing of your personal data is necessary for our legitimate interest in organising the event.

Recipients of your personal data:

• Event organisers (Disc4All project management and University of Oulu organisers).
• Eventbrite service, according to the principles stated in their Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
• All the personal data collected from you will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). No data will be transferred outside the EU or the EEA.

Storage period of your personal data:

• Full personal information as we collect here: from time of collection until the end of July, 2021.

Other information:

• You have the right to request from us access to and rectification or erasure of your personal data or restriction of processing concerning yourself or to object to processing, as well as the right to data portability, as stated in the GDPR. The applicability of such rights are specified more in detail in the GDPR.
• In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman regarding the processing of your personal data.
